Our Products

This page lists the products we make or sell.  To order, please check out our order page and select the week you are ordering for.  Not all products are available every week!

All of our breads use organic, local flour. When whole grain wheat or rye are used, we mill them in-house for freshness. Almost all of our breads use a “sourdough” starter in various amounts, and a 2 day process for superior flavor.

Products we have every week:

  • Banana Crumble

    $11.99     Banana bread plus a coffee cake like crumble on top.  A fun twist on a classic favorite!  Tastes and looks great - bring to a party or eat in seclusion so no one else can steal it away.

  • Black Tie Brownies

    $9.99     Decadent brownies with a fudgy center and filled with high quality cocoa and chocolate chips (nut free).  They are delicious!  Quantity of 4 brownies (approx. 3″ x 2″ x 1″) equaling about 3/4 pound.

  • Carla

    $4.99 – $8.99     Light in texture with some chew and superior flavor compared to typical white bread. The Carla is very similar to typical Italian style bread, but better!

  • Carrot Loaf

    $10.99     Our new favorite!  Our take on carrot cake, but with no frosting and in loaf form (like our Pumpkin and Lemon loaves).  Less sweet so you can enjoy it guilt-free in the mornings or whenever.  Add whipped or regular cream cheese if you miss it.  Very moist and the edges are so dang good.

  • Lemon Poppy

    $10.99     Fresh lemon juice, candied lemon peels, and lots of poppy seeds equals the best we've ever had!

  • Lila

    $4.99 – $8.99     75% semolina flour.  It has a beautiful yellow color and is light in texture. It tends to toast a bit crisper than our other breads. 

  • Most Chocolate Cookies

    $9.99     This the chocolatiest thing we have ever eaten!  Dipped in dark chocolate and sprinkled with flake sea salt.  Approximately 2.5" diameter cookie.

  • Peach Hibiscus Muffin

    $2.49     A unique blend of hibiscus and peach flavors.  The hibiscus flowers add a nice texture and a little sour pop!

  • Zeta

    $4.99 – $8.99     Our most flavorful "regular" loaf - 30% freshly milled (in-house) whole wheat, extra sourdough starter, a darker bake, plus poppy and sesame seeds. Perfectly balanced flavor of bitter roast/sour/slightly sweet/nutty/savory seeds...and not dense in texture. Highly recommended!

  • Baguette

    $4.99     Our excellent French baguette is crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside with the improved taste of our two day process.

  • Black Currant Croissant

    $5.99     Our amazing croissants injected with a generous amount of slightly sweetened black currant.  The unique tartness plays nicely with the richness of the croissant.   Cultured European butter, organic flour, and sourdough starter gives it a certain je ne sais quoi!

  • Challah

    $9.99     We use lots of eggs, olive oil, and use a two day process to make this delicious Challah bread.  No soybean oil, yellow coloring, or other unnecessary ingredients.  As usual, we use organic, local flour.  Similar to Brioche, but without the butter.  We are making it slightly smaller this time to try and fit it in a regular bag! ~26ozs vs typical 18ozs

  • Cheddar Jalapeno

    $5.99 – $10.99     A ton of cheddar cheese plus a moderate amount of jalapenos. A savory, spicy delight, but not too spicy. This loaf tends to be denser than our others due to so much cheese.

  • Cheese Babka

    $14.99     We all thought this was fantastic!   For those unfamiliar with cheese Babka - it's like a slightly lemony cheesecake swirled in with a light brioche.   Perfect Easter treat!  Huge at ~28ozs!

  • Cherry Chocolate Chip

    $9.99     A tasty treat with lots of chocolate chips and dried cherries. Two great flavors together, but with no added sugar.

  • Chocolate Orange Croissant

    $5.99     Our amazing croissants with a stick of our dark chocolate and in-house candied orange peel.  This classic flavor combo is orange forward and reminds me of the joy of Spring.   Cultured European butter, organic flour, and sourdough starter gives it a certain je ne sais quoi!

  • Ciabatta

    $4.99     Made with a "wet dough" equals flat shape, large holes in crumb, custardy texture inside, and delicious!  Slice to make two flat halves for a few sandwiches or a couple excellent, unique pizzas (no need for a pan to cook).  Also great for tearing and dipping in olive oil.  Carla's family's favorite!

  • Cinnamon Raisin

    $5.99 – $10.99     Decadently full of raisins with just the right amount of cinnamon.

  • Closed from 11/4 to 11/18 for move to Colonie Center

    $0.00     We will be closed from approximately 11/4 to 11/18 for our move to Colonie Center.  It all depends on how inspections and such go.  We will be sending an email out when we are open again, so feel free to sign up for emails on the home/front page.  Thanksgiving week, we plan to be open.  We will be taking online orders as soon as we know that we are allowed to be open, and will email to let everyone know (we will have Turkey bread again this year).  Thanks for your understanding! At Colonie Center, we will have great coffee drinks, sandwiches, soups, grilled cheese, and more.  Oh, and seating in our dining area.  We will be improving over a few weeks of being open.

  • Croissant

    $3.99 – $5.99     We worked a long time to come up with an amazing croissant.  Cultured European butter, organic flour, and sourdough starter gives it a certain je ne sais quoi!  Try plain, pain au chocolate (we don't skimp on our incredible chocolate), and Gruyere & Salami (our fave).

  • Crustalian

    $7.99     Crunchy, crackly crust -- that's what this bread is about!  There is a deep roasted flavor of the crust, but with no sourdough starter the crumb is mild tasting -- perfect for dipping in sauce, making garlic bread, or....?

  • Dinner Rolls

    $8.99     Soft rolls for dinner.  6 come in a bag.  Approximately 4" in diameter.

  • Dylan

    $5.99 – $10.99     Tons of dill on the inside, tons of onion on the outside, and made with a sourdough starter for a slight tang. Reminiscent of pickles - delicious for sandwiches and maybe to use as a party dipping bread!

  • Everything Smoked Cheese Croissant

    $5.99     Our amazing croissants with "everything" bagel seasoning and smoked cheese (German Grandamer) inside.  My NEW FAVORITE flavor.  Cultured European butter, organic flour, and sourdough starter gives it a certain je ne sais quoi!

  • Focaccia

    $9.99     Topped with Parmesan cheese and Italian spices, and then smothered in garlic infused olive oil. Crumb is chewy and with large holes like focaccia should be! Cut in strips for instant amazing breadsticks or between the top and bottom for a base for a delicious sandwich.

  • Garden Bread

    $5.99 – $10.99     Inspired by garden cream cheese.  Broccoli, red and green peppers, carrots, onions, parsley, dill, and garlic.  Unique tasting, delicious bread!

  • Garlic Pecorino

    $5.99 – $10.99     LOTS of garlic baked into the loaf with Pecorino Romano cheese. Packed with flavor! Makes instant garlic bread when toasted with butter. Tends to be denser than our other breads due to all the cheese and garlic.

  • Ginger Bread

    $10.99     Soft and zippy ginger quick bread.  Delicious and perfect for the season!  28oz.

  • Goddess Bread

    $5.99 – $10.99     Rave reviews from the Bread Butler team. Candied lemon and orange peel, toasted fennel seed, enriched slightly with egg (makes texture fluffy). Originally called Easter bread.

  • Good Morning

    $5.99 – $10.99     Filled with candied orange peels, cherries, dates, raisins, cardamom, and then topped with sunflower seeds.  The flavor combo is magical and like nothing you've had before. Can't recommend it enough!

  • Irish Soda

    $9.99     Traditional Irish Soda bread with raisins.  A drier, firmer quick bread, but with a great toasted flavor that had us coming back over and over again to "test" it.

  • Mocha Loca

    $9.99     Packed with chocolate chips, coffee, oats and sunflower seeds.  Described by the Bread Maiden as “so, so good”.  It’s a special treat for breakfast or dessert!  A must for the chocolate lover.

  • Muffuletta

    $5.99 – $10.99     Inspired by the New Orleans sandwich of the same name. Salami, olives, onions, capers, pepperoncini, garlic powder. A savory flavor bomb that the parents are still talking about.

  • Olive Polenta

    $5.99 – $10.99     Flavorful Kalamata olives, and Queen (green) olives to make your taste buds POP, and polenta pieces for a wonderful occasional creamy texture make for an outstanding bread!  We also add a touch of rosemary. If you like olives, you'll LOVE this bread!

  • Pilgrim

    $5.99 – $10.99     Apples, cranberries, sage, and rosemary. A delicious combination of flavors on Thanksgiving, or anytime!

  • Pumpernickel

    $10.99     Made in the German style, by baking for 20 hours.  It's so much better any than store bought you have tasted! No colorants or molasses, but it does have a taste similar to molasses with a slightly sticky, chewy texture countered by the sour of the starter.  Limited quantities. Ingredients: Organic In-House Milled Whole Rye, Water, Organic White Flour (in starter), Salt, Yeast

  • Pumpkin Chocolate Chip

    $10.99     Pumpkin, pumpkin spice, and TONS of dark chocolate chips make for a delicious twist on a Fall tradition.  Made with all the good stuff, including Vietnamese cinnamon, all brown sugar, mild olive oil, and high end chocolate chips.  Dairy and nut free, yet decadent!  Now, in a more reasonable size of 28oz.

  • Rye

    $5.99 – $9.99     30% organic in-house milled whole rye with just the right amount of caraway seeds.  The seeds are soft and don’t ruin the texture like other seeded ryes.  This makes the best toast and is my favorite all-time rye!

  • Sourdough

    $5.99 – $10.99     Our sourdough has more complex flavors than most “one note” sourdoughs available in stores and with a moderate amount of tang. It takes three days to make, which is why you can’t get this anywhere else.

  • Sprouted Multi Grain

    $5.99 – $10.99     Whole Wheat, and Rye berries sprouted and kept whole give this bread a denser, chewy texture, and a unique taste unlike any of our other breads.  Topped with oats.  It also keeps really well since the whole grains act like sponges and release water over a longer time!  I can't wait to eat a bunch of it toasted.

  • Strawberry Babka

    $15.99     Our amazing cheese babka with real strawberry cheesecake swirled in with a light brioche.   A special flavor for Valentine's Day!  Get it now because who knows when we will do it again.

  • Caramel Pretzel Brownies

    $9.99     Decadent brownies with a fudgy center and filled with high quality cocoa and chocolate chips with a fudgy center topped with pretzels and homemade caramel. They are delicious!  Quantity of 4 brownies (approx. 3″ x 2″ x 1″) equaling about 3/4 pound.

  • Irish Cream Mini Cheesecake

    $4.99     Cheesecake paired with Albany Distilling Company Bourbon! ...and a touch of chocolate and in-house roasted coffee. It's quite tasty if we do say ourselves! 3ozs.

  • Pre Baked Pizza

    $8.99     12" diameter. Baked and refrigerated. The crust is thin, crunchy, and baked hot for dark color. Toppings are thin sliced. Taste is excellent, and you can't beat the convenience. Our toppings change from week to week. Recommended home reheat - bake at 425 degrees for 7 minutes on rack.

  • Pumpkin Spice Sunbutter

    $9.99     Outrageously good Pumpkin Spice Sunbutter!  Very unique taste with just the right amount of spice - perfect for Fall and gifting.  Goes well on everything we've tried including all our breads, and brownies.  Brown sugar gives it a great, light crunch.  Organic sunflower and pumpkin seeds, brown sugar, olive oil, salt, and spices. Highly recommended!  From our nut free bakery, and vegan. 10ozs

  • Reindeer Bread

    $11.99     We take our Carla dough and shape it like a reindeer.  It's so ridiculously cute!  Nose is coated with hard red sugar candy.  Eyes are raisins.  Makes a great surprise gift too!

  • S’mores Brownies

    $6.99     Decadent brownies with a fudgy center and filled with high quality cocoa and chocolate chips with a fudgy center topped with pretzels and homemade caramel. They are delicious!  Quantity of 4 brownies (approx. 3″ x 2″ x 1″) equaling about 3/4 pound.

  • Strata

    $6.99     This is a layered quiche and ours is rich and flavorful. Bottom layer is our Carla bread, then comes a variety of fresh ingredients depending on the type being offered. Types:
    • Veg - tomato/mushroom/zucchini/green olive/cheddar/swiss
    • Pastrami - pastrami/onion/swiss/cheddar
    • Greek - Tomato/fresh spinach/feta/dill

  • Tiramisu Brownies

    $7.99     Our fudgy, decadent brownies layered with mascarpone cream, lady fingers soaked in espresso liqueur, another layer of cream, and then sprinkled with dark chocolate shavings.  Really delicious!  8oz container (enough for two, but you might not want to share!).  Uses pasteurized eggs.

  • Turkey Bread

    $11.99     We take our Carla dough and shape it like a turkey!  Looks surprisingly real at first glance and such a fun idea.  Sprinkled with a bit of Italian herbs to add to the effect.  About the size of a chicken so as to not compete with your turkey.  Vegan (no turkeys were harmed to make these.)  Makes a great surprise gift too!

  • Tuxedo Brownies

    $9.99     Decadent brownies with a fudgy center and filled with high quality cocoa and chocolate chips (nut free) topped with cheesecake.  They are delicious!  Same size as our regular brownies, but we aren't cutting them to keep the cheesecake layer looking nice.

  • Bread Knife

    $19.99     The knife we have been using in the bakery for 2 years.  Having trouble slicing our bread at home?  Most people have terrible bread knives in my experience.  This knife is inexpensive, yet extremely sharp, and makes slicing bread a pleasure.  Comes in two colors: classic black or black/white so you can find it in your drawer.  Please careful when first using it as it is very easy to cut yourself (it really is that sharp.)

  • Canvas Bag

    $5.99     A high quality, canvas Bread Butler shopping bag. It's a large size at 15" x 17" when laying flat, and can handle heavy groceries with ease.
